Now I remember why I stayed away from him before, but for some reason (I think I forgot), we got in touch again. Guess I’ll be staying away once more.

Was trying to help him fix his home broadband setup—total waste of time. He’s perfectly fine, more than happy to wallow in his own mess and the crap left behind by the Singtel installer. He doesn’t even know that he doesn’t know, but still, he acts and talks like he does.

Verdict: You can’t fix stupid. Don’t even bother. Your effort means nothing if the other person refuses to think. All you’ll do is frustrate yourself. It’s not worth it.

I’ll try to remind myself not to help or pretend I’m stupid, or else I’ll just make myself more miserable.
